EE HOA, Green Valley, AZ
Monday Morning Memo

March 19, 2018        Esperanza Estates        Green Valley, AZ

Board Meeting Today
The Board will hold its regular monthly meeting today at the Ramada at 1:00 PM. All residents are welcome to attend. You can find a copy of the agenda at the end of this memo.

Coffee & Donuts on Wednesday
Join your neighbors on Wednesday morning at 8:30 at the Ramada and start your day with complimentary coffee and donuts. Thanks to the Cookes and the Surprises for sponsoring this event.

EE Gardeners Meeting
The EE Gardeners will meet Wednesday at 9:15 AM at the Ramada to discuss watering this summer and ideas for Wishing Well Park for next year. After the Ramada meeting, the group will do a clean up, planting and transplanting at Palo Verde Del Norte Park. Please bring your rake, shovel and gloves. Everyone is welcome.

Movie Night
The Wednesday movie @7:00 PM at the Ramada) is Going in Style. When their pension fund becomes a corporate casualty, three lifelong buddies decide to buck retirement by embarking on a daring bid to knock off the very bank that absconded with their money. Thanks to Jane & Eric Ellingson for sponsoring this event.

No Shredding Event
The Enhancement Team has decided not to hold a shredding event in EE.  While some residents had expressed an interest, there wasn't enough to warrant holding an event.

Pledge to Purchase Land on Esperanza Boulevard
A letter requesting pledges toward the purchase of the vacant land on Esperanza Boulevard was mailed or hand delivered to EE residents on Monday, March 12, and there has been a very positive response. Pledges should be returned by March 30.
If you have not received your letter, click here to download the letter and pledge form from the website. FAQs have been recently updated and you can read them on the website by clicking here. Pledge drives are also underway in the Ventura West and Portillo Place neighborhoods. A report on the pledge drive will be made at today's board meeting.

Weed Control
Thanks to volunteers Tom Cooke and Boyd Morse, weed control in EE's common areas has begun and will continue intermittently until all common areas have been completed. Tom says: "The blue-green coloring is a harmless vegetable based dye used to identify completed areas. It will dissipate in a day or two and will not harm pets." Residents are reminded that they are responsible for keeping their property outside their walls weed-free.

Thanks for the Party
Kudos to all the Hospitality volunteers for their hard work to bring another wonderful social event to EE.  Thanks also to all the attendees who brought a great variety of heritage or regional dishes for all to share.

In Memoriam
Our condolences to the family and friends of Richard Doman (Calle del Regalo) who passed away on March 10.
